The Chugiak Volunteer Fire & Rescue Company provides fire protection and EMS. Response to an area of approximately 50 square miles and a population around 14,000. Burn Permits and Burn Hotline Info
Remember you need a burn permit to burn in the Anchorage bowl. You may get a burn permit by clicking here. Burn permits are good until 9PM 08/05/2013. Burn days are on a per day basis, and you must call 907-267-5020 each day before you burn.
Reminder:
- Only dry spruce beetle killed wood may be burned: spruce trees and limbs killed by the spruce bark beetle. Material must be dry enough to burn readily with minimum smoke.
- It is a violation of Municipal Code to burn garbage, lumber, construction material, trash, plastics, glue, petroleum saturated or painted materials at any time.
